"One of the freight trains was parked on a siding in front of Rosmalen station. This train wanted to run on the main track again. At this moment the train was rammed by a train coming from the direction of Nijmegen. According to witnesses, this train had ignored an "unsafe signal". Three people were killed in the accident: the main conductor and two inhibitors. One of them was seriously injured under the rubble for 11 hours before he could be freed. He died shortly afterwards in hospital."
