History of the Seventh Day Adventist church in the Netherlands:

"The first Seventh Day Adventists in the Netherlands came from a small group of Seventh Day Baptists in the east of Groningen. Usually 1887 is indicated as the year in which the Dutch Adventist Church was founded.

The church grew slowly. After World War II, the number of baptized members was about 1,500. That has now quadrupled."
