[EN] Museumed lighthouse in front of the Maritime Museum. It is no longer in use and is not located where it would be used.
This was originally with white painted concrete base small lighthouse of the sector splendor type. Today, the concrete base is striped: red, white and gray. Sector splendor is used to designate shipping lanes. As the name implies, it displays light of different colors in different sectors. A white light indicates a navigable water area, with a green light on the right to indicate the vessel's movement to the right of the navigable route and a red light to indicate the vessel's movement to the left of the navigable route on the left. Forum Marinum’s sector splendor has operated in Parainen, in the western part of an island called Attu, a place where fairways intersect in four directions. The sector splendor was restored to working order in the spring of 1999. Its shell is original, but the equipment parts have been obtained from the Oulu waterway station in the Gulf of Bothnia Maritime District.

Forum Marinumin sektoriloisto on toiminut Paraisilla, Attu-nimisen saaren läsiosassa, paikassa, missä väylät risteävät neljään suuntaan. Sektoriloisto on kunnostettu toimintakuntoiseksi keväällä 1999. Sen kuori on alkuperäinen, mutta laiteosat on saaatu Pohjanlahden merenkulkupiirin Oulun väyläasemalta.
