NL Tijdens een wandeling door Middelburg zagen we een winkel met veel geodes, mineralen en edelstenen in de etalage. Er was personeel aanwezig en we wilden graag een kijkje nemen, maar ze waren helaas nog niet open. Wel wat foto's geschoten van de winkel, Dirkx Mineralen.

"Een nieuwe winkel in de Langeviele! Vandaag, 28 oktober 2020, heeft Carlo Dirkx, die sommige mensen misschien al kennen van Jouw Marktkraam Vlissingen, zijn tweede zaak geopend: Dirkx Mineralen.

Het zou ons niet verbazen als Carlo een van de jongste ondernemers van de binnenstad is. Hij is nog maar twintig! De naam van de winkel verraadt al welke producten hij verkoopt: edelstenen en mineralen dus. Daar weten we zelf maar weinig over, maar toen we vanochtend rondkeken in de winkel hadden we het gevoel dat het assortiment van deze winkel heel breed is. Alleen voor de duurste edelstenen, zoals diamant, ben je bij Dirkx, niét aan het juiste adres.

Carlo is er aan gewend dat veel mensen zich afvragen of de markt voor edelstenen en mineralen groot is. “Groter dan menigeen denkt”, is dan zijn antwoord. Carlo heeft dan ook bewust gekozen voor een assortiment dat niet alleen breed is, maar ook betaalbaar. Hij heeft ook hele dure, dat is waar, maar veel stenen kosten maar een paar euro. Dat hangt uiteraard ook samen met de zeldzaamheid, de schoonheid, enzovoort.

Het is hoe dan ook mooi om eens een kijkje te nemen in deze winkel. Bij sommige stenen of mineralen vraag je oprecht af of je nu naar een natuurlijke vorm staat te kijken, of naar een bewerkte. Dat maakt het alleen nog maar leuker toch?"

"A new store in the Langeviele! Today, October 28, 2020, Carlo Dirkx, who some people may already know from Jouw Marktkraam Vlissingen, opened his second store: Dirkx Mineralen.

We wouldn't be surprised if Carlo is one of the youngest entrepreneurs in the city center. He's only twenty! The name of the shop already reveals which products it sells: gemstones and minerals. We know very little about that ourselves, but when we looked around the store this morning, we had the feeling that the range of this store is very wide. You are not at the right place at Dirkx for the most expensive gemstones, such as diamonds.

Carlo is used to many people wondering if the market for gemstones and minerals is big. “Larger than many think”, is his answer. Carlo has therefore consciously opted for a range that is not only broad, but also affordable. He also has very expensive ones, that's true, but many stones cost only a few euros. This is of course also related to the rarity, the beauty, and so on.

Anyway, it's nice to take a look at this store. With some stones or minerals you honestly wonder whether you are looking at a natural form or a processed one. That just makes it more fun, doesn't it?"
