[FIN] Turku Energian uusi höyrylaitos valmistui Turun Artukaisiin vuonna 2018. Se tuottaa höyryä viidelle alueen teollisuusyritykselle.
Rakennuksen luoteen puoleisessa julkisivussa on käytetty Ruukki Emotion–julkisivutuotetta, joka on osa kuvataitelija Mauri Kososen taideteosta Water Memory – Vesimuisti. Teos on toteutettu sijoittamalla taustavalot rei’itettyjen Ruukki Liberta 500 Elegant–teräsprofiilien taakse.
”Teos kuvaa tiedemaailman kiisteltyä väitettä, että kaikki minkä vesi kohtaa jättää siihen jäljen. On kiinnostava ajatus, että vesi joka muistaisi sitä juoneet dinosaurukset, muistaisi myös ihmisen toimet puhtaamman ympäristön puolesta”, kertoo Mauri Kosonen. Teos on saanut inspiraationsa asuinalueen lapsille suunnatun, luonto-aiheisen kilpailun voittajatyöstä. Kosonen järjesti teoksessa viisivuotiaan Kristin Kattain teoksen vesipisarat uudelleen. Valotaideteos leikittelee vedellä ja ajatuksella veden muistista.

[EN] Turku Energia's new steam plant was completed in Artukainen, Turku, in 2018. It produces steam for five industrial companies in the region.
Ruukki Emotion steel plates has been used on the northwest façade of the building. There is artist Mauri Kosonen's artwork Water Memory, The work has been created by placing the backlights behind the perforated Ruukki Liberta 500 Elegant steel profiles.
“The work illustrates the controversial claim of the scientific world that everything that water leaves, leaves a mark on it. It is an interesting idea that water that remembers the dinosaurs that drank it would also remember human actions for a cleaner environment, ”says Mauri Kosonen. The work is inspired by the winning work of a nature-themed competition for children in the residential area. Kosonen reorganized the water drops in the work of five-year-old Kristin Kattain. The work of light art plays with water and the idea of the memory of water.
