[FIN] Park Hotel on pieni boutique hotelli Turussa Puolalanpuiston läheisyydessä. Jugend talon rakennutti jo vuonna 1902 yksityishuvilakseen englantilaissyntyinen John Edward Eager, joka toimi Crichtonin telakanjohtajana. 1980-luvulla se on muutettu hotelliksi.
Kun hotelli aloitti toimintansa, yövahdeista muutama alkoi kertoa oudoista tapahtumista. Heillä on peili hissien luona katossa, mihin vastaanotosta näkee ja siitä voi myös tarkkailla sivuovea hotelliin ja sen käytävää. Yövahdit väittävät nähneensä useamman kerran peilissä tummaan viittaa ja leveälieriseen hattuun pukeutuneen hahmon kulkevan sivuovesta ja hahmo on mennyt hissien ohitse keittiöön.
Sivuovi ei ole enää ollut hotellin asiakkaiden käytössä, mutta peili on säilytetty paikoillaan haamun havainnointia varten. Epäillään että kyseessä on telakanjohtaja John Edward Eagerin haamu ja että hän tarkistaa missä kunnossa hänen talonsa on nykyään tai hänen haamunsa käy keittiössä ruokailemassa. Ja vaikka hotellissa on peilit jo korvattu valvontakameroilla, on aave näkynyt myös niissä.
Hotellissa on myös kuulunut ovenkoputuksia vaikka ei käytäviltä ole löytynyt ketään, kuten myös öisin on kuultu raskaan tarjoiluvaunujen jyristelevän käytävillä. Vaikka niissä on oikeasti hyvin ääntä vaimentavaa kokolattiamattoa...
Pihalta löytyy entinen hevostalli joka muutettu nykyään saunaksi. Jostain kumman syystä pihalta kuuluu edelleen kavioiden kopinaa. Kummittelut eivät tietenkään tähän ole loppuneet. Jugend-talossa on paljon monenlaisia lamppuja. Ne oikuttelevat ajoittain varsin erikoisesti. Sammuvat paikoissa joissa niiden ei pitäisi sammua ja tietysti myös syttyvät paikoissa joissa niiden ei pitäisi. Lampun valo saattaa väreillä vielä hetken vaikka sen sammuttaa. Erikoinen ilmiö.

[EN] Park Hotel is a small boutique hotel in Turku near the Puolalan Park. The Jugend house was built as early as 1902 as a private villa by English-born John Edward Eager, who served as Crichton shipyard manager. In the 1980s, it was converted into a hotel.
When the hotel opened, a few of the night watchmen began to tell of strange events. They have a mirror by the lifts on the roof, where you can see from the reception and you can also observe the side door to the hotel and its corridor. The night watchmen claim to have seen a dark cloak several times in the mirror and a character wearing a wide-brimmed black hat passing through a side door and the character has gone past the elevators into the kitchen.
The side door is no longer available to hotel guests, but the mirror has been kept in place for ghost detection. It is suspected that this is the ghost of shipyard manager John Edward Eager and that he is checking the condition of his house today or his ghost going to the kitchen to dine. And although the hotel’s mirrors have already been replaced with surveillance cameras, the ghost has been reflected in them as well.
The hotel guests have also heard door knocks even though no one has been found in the corridors, as well as heavy serving trolleys have been heard roaring in the corridors at night. Although they actually have a very sound-absorbing carpet ... and no trolleys.
In the yard you will find a former horse stable which has now been converted into a sauna. For some strange reason, a hoof of the horse hooves is still heard from the yard. The ghost-stories, of course, are not over. The Jugend house has a wide variety of lamps. They flicker quite specially at times. They go out in places where they shouldn’t go out and of course they also light up in places where they shouldn’t. The lamp light may turn on for a while even if it is turned off. A special phenomenon.
