An original Bennett gasoline pump. This late 1940's early 1950's model 700 series was manufactured for the Flying 'A' Gasoline Company. The pump is on private property but available for viewing.

The Bennett Pump Company is founded by Thomas Bennett in 1919. The first product was a hand pump. by 1929 their first electronic pumps were driven.

The Flying 'A' brand of gasoline Came to be with several mergers in 1926. Tide Water Oil sold out to a new holding company, Tide Water Associated Oil Company, which also acquired a controlling interest in California’s Associated Oil Company. Soon thereafter, Standard Oil Company of New Jersey took control of the company.At this time the creation of "Tidewater Associated Oil Company", Flying A became the primary brand name for the company
