Obelink Vrijetijdsmarkt bestaat dit jaar (2019) 60 jaar. De kampeerwinkel in Winterswijk heeft door de jaren heen qua winkeloppervlakte heel wat gedaantewisselingen ondergaan maar wordt nog altijd gerund door de familie Obelink. Inmiddels is de winkel uitgegroeid tot een van de grootste kampeerwinkels van Europa. Reden om eens in het verleden te duiken en een blik op de toekomst te werpen.

De kampeerwinkel uit Winterswijk werd in 1959 opgericht als eenmanszaak door Jan Obelink. Met hard werken en het op de voet volgen van marktontwikkelingen werd het assortiment continue uitgebreid. Kamperen staat nog altijd bekend als een redelijk traditionele manier van vakantievieren. Het is dus niet gek dat de pijlers van toen, 60 jaar naar dato nog altijd overeind staan: kennis, een breed assortiment en de laagste prijsgarantie.

Inmiddels staat de nieuwe generatie Obelink aan het roer van de onderneming. In deze nieuwe periode is de winkel en het bijbehorende assortiment verder uitgebreid en wordt deze versterkt door de webshop. De combinatie tussen online en offline heeft ervoor gezorgd dat Obelink 60 jaar later is uitgegroeid tot Europa’s grootste camping- en outdoorwinkel met ruim 72.500 m² vakantieplezier. Online leveren ze aan 24 landen verspreid door heel Europa.

In dit jubileumjaar (2019) is de winkel uitgebreid met een nieuwe camperhal. Campers waren het enige ontbrekende onderdeel in het grote assortiment. Bezoekers kunnen campers van o.a. Sunlight en Dethleff in de showroom bekijken. Naast de aanpassingen in de winkel, is Obelink ook online hard aan de weg aan het timmeren. De planning is dat er in 2021 een nieuw distributiecentrum in Winterswijk staat zodat er meer opslagruimte is voor alle voorraden van de webshop."

Obelink Leisure Market is 60 years old this year (2019). The camping shop in Winterswijk has undergone many transformations over the years in terms of retail space, but is still run by the Obelink family. The store has now grown into one of the largest camping stores in Europe. Reason to dive into the past and take a look at the future.

The camping shop from Winterswijk was founded in 1959 as a sole proprietorship by Jan Obelink. With hard work and following market developments closely, the range was continuously expanded. Camping is still known as a fairly traditional way of holidaying. It is therefore not surprising that the pillars from then, 60 years to date, are still standing: knowledge, a wide range and the lowest price guarantee.

The new generation Obelink is now at the helm of the company. In this new period, the store and the associated range have been further expanded and are strengthened by the webshop. The combination of online and offline has ensured that 60 years later, Obelink has grown into Europe's largest camping and outdoor store with over 72,500 m² of holiday fun. They deliver online to 24 countries throughout Europe.

In this anniversary year (2019), the store has been expanded with a new motorhome hall. Campers were the only missing part in the large range. Visitors can view campers from Sunlight and Dethleff in the showroom. In addition to the adjustments in the store, Obelink is also working hard online. The planning is that a new distribution center will be built in Winterswijk in 2021, so that there is more storage space for all stocks of the webshop."
