The Italian Nardini family settled in the town of Largs on the Firth of Clyde coast in 1935, and opened an ice cream parlour on Greenock Road, the main thoroughfare that runs down the seafront in the town.
The distinctive white art-deco building is situated on the corner of Nelson Street, just to the north of the town centre, and incorporates as well as the parlour, also a cafe and restaurant serving Italian food. It was refurbished in 2008.
The 200 seat venue serves authentic Italian ice cream in 32 flavours.
