Translated from the above noted text:
The artist Nicolae Razvan Mincu took part in the 3rd edition of the International de la sculpture de Saint-Georges, which took place from June 3 to 21. For the occasion, the Romanian, who has participated in 36 Symposia around the world, created the play "The Angel's Fountain".
Suggesting a wing bearing the structure of time, stars and water, the abstract stone work is rich in symbolism. Its subject is also inspired by a Romanian legend bearing images, where it is said that in the mountains, a large stone was touched by the wing of an angel who made clear and purifying water gush out of it.
The story, like the work erected at Saint-Georges, expresses the connection between nature (humans) and the creative powers. In short, the artist offers visual poetry on the shores of the Chaudière River about the Universal Man and his journey on Earth. “I believe we are stardust. We are Men who have a lot of affinity with the universe, ”says Nicolae Razvan Mincu.
For the artist, symbols are necessary in sculpture because they help to compress emotion and all important aspects of life. "Art does it like that. It's not just sculpture, ”he concludes.
