This oversized goldfish was used in the Zippy the Pinhead comic strip dated Sunday, October 31, 2004. It is located at the Goofy Golf miniature golf course in Panama City Beach. This goldfish was published in a “Sunday Strip” and is in color. The goldfish is located on Course #2 at hole 18.

Several other objects at this location have also been used in other Zippy comic strips on numerous occasions.

This Goofy Golf location is advertised as “The Original Goofy Golf” and was opened in 1959 by Lee Koplin. Today the course is still a family run business, now being owned by his daughter Michelle. It has two 18 hole courses, one with moving obstacles and the other being static. Goofy Golf is located at 12206 Front Street in Panama City Beach.

The goldfish used in the comic strip was listed in the Zippy Locations in the Real World on the waymarking.com website as being in Marathon, Florida. After locating the Buddha used in the December 6, 2004 strip titled “You’ve Got Questions, We’ve Got Questions” at Goofy Golf it was discovered the goldfish was in the same Goofy Golf course rather than in Marathon.
Date the strip ran: 10/31/2004
