This truck sits near Bob’s Oil Well, a preserved filling station from the fifties, on the east side of Matador.

Firetruck is on a 1938-39 Ford chassis.
I contacted the Matador VFD to request information on this vehicle. So far this is their response:
"It’s an old engine the city used to have. Some of our citizens drug it out of the junk yard and put it at the intersection for decoration."
Hopefully more information will be forthcoming and I can update this waymark.
