DE: Das Naturcenter Tønnisgård befindet sich in der Ortschaft Tvismark auf der süddänischen Insel Rømø in einem alten Kommandeurshof. Das Naturcenter ist im 1873 errichteten Gebäudeteil untergebracht. In der Ausstellung werden Flora und Fauna der Insel sowie die des Wattenmeeres und Geschichtliches auch kindgerecht vermittelt, etliche zum Teil interaktive Exponate erweitern dabei spielerisch das Wissen.
Neben der Ausstellung bietet das Naturcenter auch Führungen und Workshops zu verschiedenen Aspekten des Insellebens an wie Wattwanderungen, Vogelbeobachtungen, Bernsteintouren am Strand, Pilze und Kräutersammlung im Herbst und Führungen in ausgewählte Ecken der Insel.
Das Naturcenter hat von April bis Oktober an Werktagen (Montags bis Samstags) von 10 bis 16 Uhr geöffnet, in den Sommerferien (Juli und August) auch Sonntags. In der Zeit von November bis März ist der Besuch auf Montags bis Mittwochs von 10 bis 15 Uhr beschränkt. Der Eintrittspreis für die Ausstellung beträgt für Erwachsene 22 Dänische Kronen (etwa 3 Euro), Kinder unter 13 Jahren bezahlen die Hälfte. Die Führungen müssen vorab gebucht werden, hier zahlen Erwachsene durchschnittlich 125 Dänische Kronen.

EN: The Tønnisgård Nature Center is located in the village of Tvismark on the southern Danish island of Rømø in an old commanders' yard. The nature center is housed in the part of the building built in 1873. In the exhibition, the flora and fauna of the island as well as those of the Wadden Sea and history are also conveyed in a child-friendly way, and a number of partly interactive exhibits expand knowledge in a playful way.
In addition to the exhibition, the nature center also offers guided tours and workshops on various aspects of island life such as mudflat walks, bird watching, amber tours on the beach, mushrooms and herb collections in autumn and guided tours to selected corners of the island.
The nature center is open from April to October on working days (Monday to Saturday) from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and also on Sundays during the summer holidays (July and August). From November to March, visits are limited to Mondays to Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The entrance fee for the exhibition is 22 Danish kroner (around 3 euros) for adults and half for children under 13 years of age. The tours must be booked in advance, adults pay an average of 125 Danish kroner.
