Der alte Grenzstein ist wahrscheinlich weit über 100 Jahre alt und markiert die damalige Grenze zwischen den Fürstentum Lippe und dem Fürstbistum Paderborn.

Auf dem Grenzstein sind entsprechend die Wappen dieser Länder zu erkennen - die Lippische Rose und der Preußenadler (schon sehr verwittert).
