This mural on the Maine Street bridge overpass, was intended to stop trucks from smashing into the RR overpass. Yet trucks still smash into this shark mouth! The shark bridge even has its own website. You can see the shark bridge on E. Maine at the RR overpass (Maine and 3rd). It is 6' tall and 72' wide.
From the Roadside America website:
"Bridge Shark" is an official city-sponsored artwork, proposed by artist Wayne Shearon as a way to stop trucks from smashing into this railroad overpass. Painted in 2014. Trucks still get mauled by the bridge, but the artwork is now considered an Enid landmark.
