NL In Nieuwegein, in het Natuurkwartier in het park Oudegein, is een interactieve zonnewijzer. Als je op de centrale streep op de juist maand gaat staan, kan je met je schaduw aflezen hoe laat het is. Het bij de zonnewijzer aanwezig bord leert je dat dat afhankelijk is van de rotatie en stand van de aarde ten opzichte van de zon. De zon staat telkens op een andere plek aan de hemel en dat zorgt telkens voor een veranderende richting van je schaduw. Let op, in de winter moet je vanwege de wintertijd één uur van de aangegeven tijd aftrekken.
ENG In Nieuwegein, in the Natuurkwartier in the Oudegein park, there is an interactive sundial. If you stand on the central line on the correct month, you can read what time it is with your shadow. The sign present at the sundial teaches you that this depends on the rotation and position of the earth in relation to the sun. The sun is always in a different place in the sky and that causes a changing direction of your shadow. Please note, in winter you have to deduct one hour from the indicated time due to winter time.
