DE: Auf der dem Meer zugewandten Seite der 1981 eröffneten neuen Vidå Sluse (auf Deutsch: Wiedau Schleuse) findet sich auf dem nördlichen Ufer ein manueller Wasserstandsmesser mit rot-weißer Markierung. Die mit einer Genauigkeit von 2cm maximal messbare Höhe des Pegels liegt bei 490cm, was dem ungefähren Hochwasserstand bei der Sturmflut vom 3. Januar 1976 entspricht.

Bei der Schleuse handelt es sich um die Entwässerungsschleuse für den Fluß Vidå, sie stellt sicher, dass bei steigendem Wasserstand des Meeres kein Wasser vom Meer in die Vidå fließt. Der Deich und die Schleuse ersetzen die bei der genannten Sturmflut überspülte Schleuse von 1861, die sich etwa 1.5km südöstlich befindet. Ein Parkplatz ist bei N54° 57.787 E008° 39.793.

The maximum height of the level, which can be measured with an accuracy of 2 cm, is 490 cm, which corresponds to the approximate high water level during the storm surge on January 3rd, 1976.

The lock is the drainage lock for the Vidå River, it ensures that no water flows from the sea into Vidå when the sea level rises. The dike and the lock replace the lock from 1861, which was flooded by the storm surge mentioned above and is located about 1.5km to the southeast. A parking lot is at N54° 57.787 E008° 39.793.
