"Le dernier bailli de Feluy, Léopold Nopère fit bâtir une belle demeure vers 1755. Dans une propriété emmurée, formant l’avant de l’ancienne carrière, disposés de part et d'autre d'une cour fermée par une grille monumentale, cet immeuble et dépendances furent, rénovés en style néo-classique vers 1850.
A gauche, un large corps d'habitation entièrement cimenté et peint, comptant deux niveaux et demi, ce dernier du XIXe siécle, avec sept travées de baies en façade, sur un soubassement en pierre de taille, fenêtres à encadrement de calcaire, avec montants en délit sous arc cintré à clé: au centre, porte du XVIIIe siècle à encadrement creusé d une gorge ourlée, montants en délit sur bases et arc chantourné frappé d'une coquille, orné de guirlandes et chutes fleuries. Sous comble, petites baies entre deux cordons larmiers, dont un formant corniche.
Face au corps de logis, refermant la cour, des dépendances en calcaire, également en style néo-classique, sont scandées en façade par une succession d'arcades en anse de panier et de fenêtres en plein cintre, reliées par un cordon cimenté à hauteur d'imposte. Un demi-niveau sur larmier est éclairé de petites fenêtres quadrangulaires alternant avec des oculi ornés de bustes à l'antique. La partie gauche des dépendances est en très léger retrait, présentant dans un parement en moellons apparents, deux mêmes arcades et une fenêtre à encadrement à claveaux. La toiture d'ardoises à croupes, est surmontée d'un imposant lanternon en briques, inspiré du modèle de pagode chinoise en vogue au XIXe siècle, servait de pigeonnier."

"The last bailiff of Feluy, Léopold Nopère, had a beautiful residence built around 1755. In a walled property, forming the front of the old quarry, on either side of a courtyard closed by a monumental gate, this building and outbuildings were renovated in neo-classical style around 1850.
To the left, a large, entirely cemented and painted dwelling, comprising two and a half stories, the latter dating from the 19th century, with seven bays in the facade, on an ashlar base, limestone framed windows, with recessed jambs under a keyed arched arch: in the centre, an 18th century door with a hollowed out groove frame, recessed jambs on bases and a scalloped arch with a shell, decorated with garlands and flowery falls. Under the roof, small bays between two dripstones, one of which forms a cornice.
Opposite the main building, closing off the courtyard, the limestone outbuildings, also in the neo-classical style, are punctuated on the facade by a succession of basket-handle arches and round-headed windows, linked by a cemented stringcourse at transom height. A half-level over a dripstone is illuminated by small quadrangular windows alternating with oculi decorated with busts in the antique style. The left-hand side of the outbuildings is set back very slightly, with two of the same arches and a window with a keyed frame in exposed rubble stonework. The hipped slate roof is topped by an imposing brick lantern, inspired by the Chinese pagoda model in vogue in the 19th century, which served as a dovecote."
