That NW Bus - Washtucna, Washington - Art Vehicles on Waymarking.com

Former Toppenish School District 1955 Kenworth Pacific School Bus referred to as "That NW Bus." The bus has been in Washtucna since the 1970s when a local used the school bus to store supplies before it was eventually abandoned. The bus was previously located on Highway 260, 7 miles out of town. There was no parking and it was located about 500 feet off the road through tall grass (previous coordinates N46° 41.666' W118° 25.501'). The bus became a social media sensation and gained popularity as a destination for travelers. In 2017, the Department of Natural Resources determined that the bus was a liability and planned to remove it. The Washtucna Heritage Museum had to act fast and was able to secure funds to have the bus moved. It is not located off Highway 26 in Washtucna. It now serves as a roadside attraction and public art project. The land that the bus is located on was donated by Blankenship Farms. When traveling to the bus you are encouraged to bring your own spray paint!
