The Little Lions have a lion as a mascot. They are the "little" version of the Penn State Nittany Lion. The colors are maroon and grey.
Astroturf was added in 2003. Renovations have continued to address issues such as handicapped access and flooding.
For homecoming, there is a parade from the high school to the field, about a mile.
This field holds football, field hockey, and soccer games, as well as town events such as the Halloween parade congregation and Arts Festival activities.
The field was to remember the State College high school graduates who gave their lives in World Wars I and II, then rededicated to honor all those fallen in subsequent wars as well.
Parking is avaliable on street and in nearby garages.
