The area around Ummendorf belongs to the so-called Magdeburger Börde. For centuries, this fertile area has been used for agriculture.
Mechanization made its appearance early on and both steam and diesel tractors were used from the beginning. The Börde museum Ummendorf has a collection of tractors of which this Deutz F2M-315 is one.
This type of tractors were built from 1935 until 1949, exact production date is not known.
The diesel engine has a capacity of 3,845 cm3 and delivers 28 hp at 1200 rpm. This one is a water-cooled tractor, later they switched to air cooling. The newest tractors still have air cooling.
