The hike to the overlook on the White Trail is about .7 mile one way, with about 640 feet elevation gain. No special equipment is needed to follow the Blue or White trails.
Access is all year, but there may be ice and hunting is permitted, so be mindful of conditions. This is the most popular section of the trail system and other people are often encountered.
