Guanajuato was founded around the mines. It was since ever a mining town and there are a few still active mines. The machinery here was used in the mine of San Juan de Rayas and it's displayed on the observation platform or Rayas.
There are several items, all in excellent condition. Sometimes it's possible to see old miners having a rest on the observation platform, which adds to the atmosphere.
