The Crooswijk cemetery is the biggest cemetery in Rotterdam. Next to famous people's graves, there are also many (war related) monuments.
Here you will find the grave of Alexander Heybloem. A lady is writing his name on the grave.

"Alexander Wilhelmus Aalbert (Alex W.A.) Heijblom (Bergen op Zoom, 29 October 1832 – Rotterdam, 13 August 1893) was a Dutch composer and music educator.

Biography
He is the son of organist and music teacher Aalbert Heijblom and Ann Stewart. He himself married Marianne van Emmerik/Emmerick.

He received his music training from his father on piano, violin, cello and some wind instruments. In 1855 he established himself as a music teacher in Rotterdam and led the liedertafel Amphion (in 1882 he celebrated his 25th anniversary there), the liedertafel of the folk singing school (affiliated with Amphion) and became a teacher at the Vormschool for teachers. Willem Margadant was a student of his for some time and would become music director in Gothenburg.

A number of books on pedagogical matters have been published under his name:

Textbook for singing/Textbook for use in teaching singing and for self-education in music with questions, exercises and singing exercises
singing exercises
Songbook for the school
Theoretical and practical education in singing.

In June 1894 a monument was unveiled on his grave at Crooswijk General Cemetery. Following an appeal, students, worshipers and friends raised money. Among those friends were Jan van Gilse, his publishers, but also the Antwerp composer Peter Benoit. It is an obelisk of white French sandstone designed and made by Leo Stracké and has a height of 267 cm. It includes a muse who writes the name of the composer/music educator."
