The heraldry of Saint Pope Paul VI (born Giovanni Battista Montini) is mounted south of the main entrance on the east side of the Diocese of Providence Chancery Office Building in Providence, Rhode Island. The building, dated 1967, was completed during his reign -- 21 June 1963 until his death on 6 August 1978.
The cross keys and tiara, symbol of the papacy, are present in every papal coat of arms. Beneath three fleurs-de-lis representing the Holy Trinity, this crest depicts six mountains rising from the shield's bottom edge. "Paul VI used the Arms of the Montini Family. The arms are partially canting, Montini means 'small mountains'. The family arms were slightly more complicated and when he became Archbishop of Milano he simplified the arms. He did not change his arms when becoming Pope." (Source: Heraldry of the world wiki)
