It's counter service here: They've got a menu board outside, a paper menu by the register, and a big chalk board behind the bar, making it easy. Step up to the bar, place your order, and they'll bring your order out to you when it's ready. As everything is made fresh, please be patient, but the staff are wonderful, and frankly, you're not going to wait too long anyways. If necessary, watch a little TV or use the wi-fi. You can sit at the bar, there are a few tables outside, and the booths are covered and enclosed, making things a little cozy. They've also partnered with Grapevine's British Emporium, who occupy an adjacent suite where one can shop for what they call "British comfort food" and other neat things from across the waters.

It's Atlantic Cod for your fish, with small and large portions, and they also can bake your order or make it gluten-free. Turn your fish into a burger if you like, and they also have bangers & mash and chicken strips. If you're after a salad, they can do that for you, too. There's a nice selection of sides -- see the menu online or in the gallery -- and they've got a family pack with two large fish & chips meals and two kid-sized meals. The kids menu does have fish & chips, but they also offer things like chicken strips and mac and cheese if the little ones aren't adventurous. You'll find vinegar at the bar and on the tables, and they also have curry mayo, but they really take pride in their homemade tartar sauce, which is outstanding.

In addition to soft drinks, they have a bar featuring a small selection of wine and beer, and they have four taps from Richardson's own Four Bullets Brewery, one of whose co-owners also hails from the UK, making for a great pairing. Also be on the lookout for the old Austin that's typically parked out front.

Yes, the SSID really is "fishandfizz Staff". You won't find anywhere to plug in your gadgets, but the wi-fi signal is quite good.
