The rock is a tribute to the fateful outcome of a relationship. Legend has it that the young pagan, Boán, to woo the Christian woman in love with him, Marta, asked a priestess for help. She offered him a remedy: drink a double-acting potion. If Marta was already surrendered at Boán's feet, she would go crazy. If not, she would ignite the spark of love. The prophecy had to be fulfilled. The young woman, who had already lost her senses to the pagan, went mad. She committed suicide from that rock."
