The current Agudath Achim Synagogue was erected in 1924. A group had starting to meet in the 1880's at different homes, this was the formation of the Agudath Achim Congregation. On March 17, 1885, the original group was granted a charter for Agudath Achim by Judge Dean the presiding Judge of Blair County. The group continued to meet in homes of the members until the first Shul, a frame building completed in 1895 on the site of the current brick synagogue.
The Agudath Achim Synagogue has an active congregation of approximately 125 m3mb3r families.
