L'Oso est un petit fleuve qui coule dans le département de Corse-du-Sud et se jette sur la côte Est. La longueur de son cours d'eau est de 23,4 km. Dans sa partie haute, l'Oso s'appelle le ruisseau de Piscia di Ghjaddu où se situe la célèbre cascade, une des curiosités touristiques de la région. Il prend sa source à 1 km au nord-est du Punta di u Diamante (1 227 m), à l'altitude 980 m, dans la forêt territoriale de l'Ospedale. La confluence avec la mer Tyrrhénienne s'effectue entre les deux communes de Porto-Vecchio et Lecci, dans la baie de Stagnolu. Tant en montagne qu'en plaine, cette rivière offre de très beaux bassins naturels propices à la baignade.

Accès : depuis la forêt de l'Ospedale au départ de la balade de Piscia di Ghjaddu. Depuis Porto-Vecchio, prendre la route de Bastia en direction Lecci et juste avant le pont de l'Oso tourner à gauche.


Bathing in the course of the Oso

The Oso is a small river that flows in the department of Corse-du-Sud and flows into the eastern coast. The length of its course is 23,4 km. In its upper part, the Oso is called the stream of Piscia di Ghjaddu where the famous waterfall is located, one of the tourist attractions of the region. It takes its source 1 km northeast of the Punta di u Diamante (1,227 m), at an altitude of 980 m, in the territorial forest of Ospedale. The confluence with the Tyrrhenian Sea takes place between the two municipalities of Porto-Vecchio and Lecci, in the bay of Stagnolu. Both in the mountains and in the plain, this river offers very beautiful natural basins suitable for swimming.

Access: from the Ospedale forest at the start of the Piscia di Ghjaddu walk. From Porto-Vecchio, take the road to Bastia in the direction of Lecci and just before the Oso bridge turn left.
