NL Ik was de eerste waymarker die het Nederlandse equivalent van Hotel des Invalides ontdekte: landgoed Bronbeek te Arnhem. Een plek bomvol met monumenten, een mooi park en een boeiend museum. Ik ben de hele kerstvakantie bezig geweest met het maken van alle waymarks, 33 in totaal! Daaronder vallen de eerste ‘remembering FEPOW’ waymarks in Nederland. Van alle waymarks vallen er misschien wel 20 in het departement monumenten, dus voor een lucky 7 was het nog wel spannend. Ik heb toch 8 verschillende departementen kunnen vinden en dus (vanwege de nabijheid) een tally van 16.
ENG I was the first waymarker to discover the Dutch equivalent of Hotel des Invalides: the Bronbeek estate in Arnhem. A place packed with monuments, a beautiful park and a fascinating museum. I spent the whole Christmas break making all the waymarks, 33 in total! This includes the first 'remembering FEPOW' waymarks in the Netherlands. Of all the waymarks, maybe 20 fall in the monuments department, so for a lucky 7 it was still narrow. I was able to find 8 different departments anyway and so (because of the proximity) a tally of 16.
