"Willem Brocades (IJhorst 1778-Meppel 1849) established himself as a pharmacist in Woldstraat in Meppel in 1798. In 1854 Eisso Post Stheeman (Winschoten 1827-Nijmegen 1908) took over this pharmacy. In the following years the pharmacy was greatly expanded and got the allure of a small factory."
