It was approved by a statewide referendum in 2010, opened June 5, 2012. An expansion opened in September 2012, it was sold to Churchill Downs Inc. in 2013, and expanded again with the hotel opening in 2017. (Source: Wikipedia)
There are almost 1,000 slot machines with bets from a penny to $5 and higher. Poker, blackjack, and baccarat cards games along with craps and roulette are offered across more than 20 tables.
The hotel has just over 100 rooms. Though they can accommodate it, as of this post (January 2022), large events like weddings and conferences are temporarily not being scheduled due to the ongoing COVID pandemic. My favorite line from the website's Hotel FAQ section, regarding Obstructed View rooms: "For guests who are aficionados of HVAC systems, our obstructed view rooms offer a pristine vista of the casino roof and its Trane Voyager air handling units."
Dining is available at OX Pub sit-down restaurant and Oxford Express grab and go -- it's cool with them to eat at the slot machines, too.
Free parking, including one 24-hour/overnight stay for RV's. There are four EV charging stations.
