On the door of a newly built house opposite the old Reformed church on the Amsterdamseweg in Ede is a special harlequin door knocker.
A little further is a very old shop, namely: the grocery store of Lammert van de Bospoort.
It is the oldest operating shop in Ede. Lammert van de Bospoort started this grocery store in the center of Ede in 1904. In 1974 his daughter Bartje finally locked the door of the shop, she then continued to live in the residential part of the building until her death in 1997. The complete interior remained in the shop, even the old (packaged) stock such as cigarettes, soap and coffee.
A group of volunteers has been maintaining the shop since 2004 to give visitors the opportunity to enjoy this special piece of Ede's cultural heritage.
