"Nancy-Ville station, formerly known as "Nancy-Saint-Jean" station, is a French railway station on the line from Noisy-le-Sec to Strasbourg-Ville (Paris–Strasbourg), located near the city center of Nancy, prefecture of the department of Meurthe-et-Moselle, in the Grand Est region.

Commissioned in 1852, it is located at the crossroads of major European axes: east - west (Paris - Vienne), and north - south (Luxembourg - Lyon - Marseille), but also at the heart of regional traffic in Lorraine (Moselle furrow / Vosges). The Orient-Express luxury train stopped there daily until 2002.

The arrival of the TGV-Est on June 10, 2007 increased the flow of travelers due to the reduction in travel time between Paris and Nancy from 3 hours to 1 hour 30 minutes. Marking the western boundary of the city centre, the station is at the center of the conurbation. Since its construction, it has suffered from its smallness. The lack of available space is especially penalizing at its northern exit, in the trench hosting the tracks towards Metz and Paris." (From Google Translate (visit link) )
