"Welcome to the SPACE
deRUIMTE is a studio and gallery for visual art and screen printing. A meeting place for people. In deRUIMTE we focus on people from vulnerable groups, people who find it difficult to find their place in society. We look at their talents and strengths and make connections with companies, professional artists, associations and social institutions.

We work with them on projects, each time in consultation with and under the supervision of a visual artist. We also organize workshops and exhibitions. These are given by our own professional supervisors or by guest artists, so that a diversity of techniques and art visions are discussed.

Our bar is set high, both for the exhibitions in the gallery and for the projects that we realize on behalf of third parties, on location or in-house. deRUIMTE wants to get rid of the patronizing, quality is the norm."
