The 24-year-old Richie Parinya has released a musical ode to Turnhout. He sings, among other things, how he never wants to leave the city.

"In the song, the 24-year-old hip-hopper sings about his love for Turnhout. "I'm working on an album, and through this song I want to let the fans know where I am," said Richie Piranya. "I was born in Thailand, but I have been living in Turnhout since I was six years old."
"Feel at home here"
Richie Parinya refers in the song to the Kasteeltje, the opening of Decathlon and the parking fines that Apcoa hands out. "It was not difficult to write this song. It only took a few hours to make it. The main message is that I never want to leave Turnhout. The city is often seen in a negative light, but I feel here really at home. Unlike many other residents of Turnhout, I am proud of my city. I am also happy that my daughter was born here."
Richie Piranya also made an accompanying clip for the song. It shows the most recognizable places in Turnhout. Those images are interspersed with residents of the city who hold a heart. "The city council has welcomed the song and the clip very positively," said Richie. "I hope 'My Heart' can help to relaunch my career. In 2007 I already released a clip through Universal, but after that my music career was on the back burner. I had a daughter, bought a house.. Now I'm ready for my real debut, so I changed my stage name from ithaii DPrins to Richie Parinya."
