Tegners interesse for kunst opstod ved mødet med den antikke kultur, da han som 15-årig besøgte Akropolis. Denne antikke verden optog ham gennem hele hans kunstneriske liv og mange af hans skulpturer forestiller græske guder.
Billedhuggeren Rudolph Tegner har selv været arkitekt og bygherre af Tegners Museum. Museet og den omkringliggende skulpturpark rummer 335 af hans værker.
Rudolph Tegner ligger begravet under gulvet i museets midterste sal. Hans kone Elna Tegner ligger i en urne i soklen på statuen "Apollo" også i den midterste sal.




Tegner's museum is surrounded by a sculpture park with 15 of Tegner's sculptures. The sculpture park is located in a natural area called Russia.
The sculpture park is open all year round. It is free to visit and it is allowed to bring a dog on a leash.

The artist's interest in art arose when he encountered ancient culture when he visited the Acropolis at the age of 15. This ancient world occupied him throughout his artistic life and many of his sculptures depict Greek gods.

The sculptor Rudolph Tegner has himself been the architect and builder of Tegner's Museum. The museum and the surrounding sculpture park contain 335 of his works.
Rudolph Tegner is buried under the floor in the middle hall of the museum. His wife Elna Tegner lies in an urn in the plinth of the statue "Apollo" also in the middle hall.
