Built originally in 150 it was recently restored and its part of the many structures included in the list which makes the historical center of Santo Domingo an UNESCO World Heritage Site.

This fort was part of the southern structures of the defence network of the town. It's rectangular but no defensive wall exists in the northern face. There are two artillery positions and some old cannons are placed there. Also a note for the two corner watch towers. When it was built the seawater would come all the way to the front facade.
