This lonely chimney is the namesake of the ghost town of Lone Chimney, on the south edge of Pawnee County. The chimney is in a field just west of the Lone Chimney Fire Station and Town Hall. The town itself no longer exists, but as the chimney still stands that name is used by various farms and businesses in the area.
As noted above, the chimney is on private property in a fenced field. Please view the chimney from the side of the road; do not cross the fence. There is plenty of parking at the nearby Town Hall.
