Jamin - Zaandam, NL - Candy Stores on Waymarking.com

In 1870 Cornelis Jamin (1850-1907) opened a chocolate shop in Rotterdam. The business went well and he was able to expand. In 1880 he started sugar factories on the Rodezand and on the Crooswijksekade, and in 1883 the first Jamin shop opened. When Cornelis Jamin died in 1907, there were 50 Jamin stores in and around Rotterdam.

Jamin now has 95 stores in the Netherlands, making the franchise formula the market leader in the confectionery industry. The franchise formula continues to innovate and would like to grow further. All future stores will be furnished according to a new concept and the existing stores will also be transformed into modern stores at an accelerated pace. Jamin's brand awareness is 95%.
