The bowling club in the town of Blairgowrie in eastern Perthshire in Scotland was formed in 1868 with a green being constructed to the south-west of the town centre. The first president was Mr G.R. Ballingall. The ladies section was started during the 1948-49 season.
The clubhouse on the southern side of the green was extended during the early 1980s, with the opening of the Murray Lounge, named after long standing member William Murray, this was opened on April 21st 1981. Around the same period the greenkeepers shed opposite was extended and updated.
The green can be found at Lochy Terrace to the west of the A93 route through the town. The clubhouse has two bars and recreational areas. The lower is the Murray Lounge which is used for functions.
