The town of Blairgowrie is situated in the eastern part of Perthshire in Scotland. It lies amidst a large rural area on the northern edge of Strathmore. A fire service was established in the town during the early part of the 20th century, but it was on May 2nd 1958 that these premises on West George Street were opened. The station contains two firetrucks along with a watch manager and three crew managers overseeing sixteen part-time firefighters.

The fire station can be found to the south of the town centre, west of the main A93 Perth Road in a residential area next to the Lochy Park.
