Dominican Republic is well known worldwide for its quality beaches and all included resorts. In Las Galleras you will find the beaches but not the all included style accommodation. It's a place shaped for independent travellers and backpackers, tourist friendly and with great offer in terms of beaches.
This is the main beach of Las Galleras, located by the end of the main road crossing the village. It has all the expected structures. Restrooms, restaurants, bars, sun chairs, sand sports courts.
Beautiful beach with white sand and clear waters, surrounded by palm trees. Calm waters, perhaps a bit too shallow for a swim.
There are several fishing boats on the sand. They are used both for fishing and for touristic tours.
It's an open beach, it can be accessed anywhere, but the main entrance, by the road and the parking lot is the main one and provided coordinates are from there.
