Since 1949, the Sonsbeek Foundation has been organizing an open-air exhibition every few years to bring people, art and the city closer together. While walking along the winding paths, not all works of art are as striking as 'Lazy King'. The silver spheres of Henrietta Lehtonen's 'Skies Captured', a scale model of the solar system in the middle of the Cold Pond, are almost the same color as the water.

"The artwork by Lehtonen (1965) consists of nine steel spheres
that stand in the water of the Koude Vijver in Sonsbeek park. skies
Captured represents humanity's curiosity about it
life in the universe. In this artwork comes the fascination of Lehtonen
for space, the cosmos and cosmological models together. It
artwork is an astrological project: a scale model of our solar system above the reflective surface of the water. Work
was part of the Sonsbeek exhibition in 2001."
