Largest pyramid of cannon balls I have ever seen. White spots on pictures are rain drops falling. It was heavy rain.

County of monument: Hardin County
location of monument: traffic triangle at Bridge Ave. & Main Ave., Savannah

The only text on this monument is the bold back letters on the front

U. S. GRANT HDQS

Savannah is not very far from Pittsburgh Landing and the Battle of Shiloh. This Civil War marker signifies how General Grant stopped at Cherry Mansion before and after the battle. This is along Main St. just a couple blocks west from the county courthouse.

It is kind of strange to me to see a pile of cannon balls decorated with Christmas lights...weird and eerie.
