The somber black granite bench Is located on the northeast corner of the Vanderburgh County Courthouse grounds in downtown Evansville, Indiana. The monument consists of an engraved slab of black granite on a pedestal.

The front of the monument reads as follows:

"TAN SON NHUT ASSOCIATION
"ALL INCLUDED, NONE EXCLUDED"
Co-founded by
Don E. Parker and John Peele
Evansville, IN, 1994"

The top of the memorial reads as follows from left to right:

"[POW-MIA emblem]
Dedicated to the men and women
who served at or passed through
Tan Son Nhut Airbase,
Republic of Vietnam 1959-1975.
The day may fade from memory,
but gratitude for their deeds will
remain in our hearts forever.
