A larger-than life size, metal, bicycle sculpture fabricated by Vicente Garcia commemorates the designation of Simsbury as Connecticut's first bicycle friendly community and doubles as a bicycle tender that can accommodate 20 bicycles.

A trapazoid shaped metal monument next to the bicycle sculpture is decorated with bicycle gears and has an attached aluminum plaque which is inscribed in part:

Celebrating Simbury as the First Bicycle Friendly Community in
Connecticut, designated in 2010 by the league of American Bicyclists.

Made Possible by the Children and Adult Mobility Project

In 2012 Simsbury received a Silver-level Bicycle Friendly Community designation from the League of American Bicyclists.
