Op een hoge zuil staat een beeld van een gebroken Romeinse vaas en een voorstelling van water. Op de website van de beeldhouwer wordt de sculptuur verklaard: Reflecties naar de Romeinse tijd. Binnenmaas is gelegen in het noordoosten van de Hoeksche Waard op ruim 10 kilometer ten zuiden van Rotterdam en omvat onder meer de plaatsen Maasdam en Puttershoek. Het water heeft hier altijd een grote rol gespeeld. Tevens zijn er Romeinse opgravingen gedaan. Het beeld is gemaakt in opdracht van de toenmalige gemeente Binnenmaas, thans gemeente Hoeksche Waard.

On a high column is a statue of a broken Roman vase and a representation of water. On the sculptor's website, the sculpture is declared: Reflections to Roman times. Binnenmaas is located in the northeast of the Hoeksche Waard, more than 10 kilometers south of Rotterdam, and includes the towns of Maasdam and Puttershoek. Water has always played a major role here. Roman excavations have also been done. The statue was commissioned by the then municipality of Binnenmaas, now the municipality of Hoeksche Waard.
