Skelly Oil Company was a medium-sized oil company founded in 1919. It became defunct when fully absorbed by Getty Oil Company in 1974. During the company's heyday, Skellytown was a "company town" located between the oil boom camps of Roxana, which was north of Skelly, and Noelette, which was east. This vintage Skelly gas station is now owned by the town and has been partially restored. The two vintage pumps in front of the station are in fair to good condition.
