Seventy-one stairs connect Hartford Park apartments and the 18.6-acre Merino Park in Providence, Rhode Island. The poured concrete steps are divided in a group of 35 and 36 in a straight, mainly north-south, run. Metal handrails are installed on both sides of this four-foot-wide staircase. A small, cast bronze plaque is embedded and well-aged at the top landing:
